Inspiring public parks to see in Vancouver

I spent time in Vancouver visiting most of the city’s famous gardens, but also found myself blown away by the quality of horticulture on show in its public open spaces. Continue reading Inspiring public parks to see in Vancouver

Bit later than normal but I finally sowed some broad beans. This year I am sowing around 20 plants rather than the hundreds and hundreds I did in the walled garden last year. I am kind of late planting garlic. I wrote an article recently on 'growing garlic in pots' and it made me decide to just go for it. It's late but not too late. So I have got this 'cristo' softneck garlic and am going to grow it in a container. Softneck doesn't require the cold period that hardneck does, so I can still get a crop from a spring planting
