Oxford Real Farming Conference – Part Two

Day two of Oxford Real Farming Conference (ORFC) 2018 saw me attend my most inspiring talk of the conference, the chance to hear Perrine Herve-Gruyer of La Ferme du Bec Hellouin talk about using permaculture and bi-intensive methods to be highly productive farming on a small-scale. Stunning laburnum at @helmsleywalledgarden
Exciting times, so here's the new allotment !! It was a surprise to get it, but delighted to have the plot. Good size and in really good condition. Had it only a few weeks but been getting stuck in. It's going to be a plot full of veg, fruit and flowers
A few more from my trip to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, some bits from inside the Great Pavillion and the balcony gardens. I felt very lucky to be there on press day for my first Chelsea. Quite a surreal and fantastic experience, not least because of the famous faces galore around the place. So much to see, so much to take in, so many pictures and videos to sort through
A selection of Chelsea veg. There was a good display of edibles, including on show in the Great Pavillion and in Mark Gregory's The Savills Garden
Highlights from my day at the Chelsea Flower Show - pics from the show gardens
Had a memory from last year pop up and I forgot how fantastic these cauliflowers were in the polytunnel this time last year - just looked perfect....chefs kiss 💋 I particularly enjoy growing cauliflowers
